How presidential does Gingrich sound?

Conservatives are salivating about supposed Gingrich’s ability to beat Obama in debates. In my (not so humble) opinion it’s premature. Here are three examples of Gingrich’s tendency to demagogue the issues rather than to offer rational solutions.
1. Addressing the problem with student loan debt bubble, Gingrich offered an example of an obscure college where students get a break in tuition for helping cleaning the campus. The republican audience applauded… So is this the solution to the national problem? Will the president Gingrich tell colleges to fire current janitors and hire students instead? Did he ever count the ratio between the numbers of students and janitors in a typical college?
2. Recently Gingrich claimed that Palestinians are ‘invented people.’ How presidential is that? The future American president is probably the last hope for establishing piece in the Middle East. Unless Gingrich wants to stand to the right from Netanyahu, he will have to support a two-state solution. And how does president Gingrich start his Middle-East policy? He starts with insulting the people he will have to negotiate with…
3. Granting citizenship to illegal residents. Not a bad idea, huh? Sure, but Gingrich suggests establishing some community boards for deciding who deserves to become a citizen. So a few grumbling men will decide the fate of families… I think corruption may be rampant and courts will be flooded with thousands (if not millions) suites challenging the boards’ decisions. But the worst part in the Gingrich’s solution is his insistence in checking if the applicants “belong to your church.” He must know that granting citizenship on the base of religious affiliation is unconstitutional.
